Just curious: What name has been the most sung about in all history?

For example:
Tommy Tutone's 8675309 would be a vote for the name "Jenny."
The Rolling Stone's Ruby Tuesday would be a vote for "Ruby."

What else?

I'm thinking "Jesus Christ", especially if you include other languages (especially Latin).

"Sarah's Smile" by Hall and Oates...there was another 80's tune with some guy singing about Sarah too.

Aisha was sung about by Death in Vegas as well as Bel Biv & Devoe :D

Mary! I don't need to give any examples, I know you are thinking of at least three songs with Mary right now.

As far as a guy name... John? Joe? Wilbur? I can't think of any.

Whoever this girl "Baby" is....she's in a lot of songs :)

I would imagine there's tons of songs about "Johnny" ...although at the moment, I can only think of three.

I'm guessing Bob Dylan's name has been dropped in song more times than just about anyone else

I'm not kidding, most "serious" songwriters mention Dylan at some point in one of their songs.

God has been getting mentions for thousands of years. I think we have a winner.

"Father" and especially "Mother" seem to be in a fair share of songs. But they sort of don't count...

How about songs that don't sing about a particular person, just a name. So exclude Dylan, Jesus Christ/God, Mom and Dad, etc. Also, could y'all post the names and artists of songs you think of? I think it'd be neat to compile a list of these if it hasn't already been done before.

By the way, the only song about "Mary" I can think of is "Mary Had a Little Lamb."

How about "Baby" from Dirty Dancing .... I hear her name in lots of songs.....
