So what did you think of them live? I saw them a couple of weeks ago and thought they were great. I was never fortunate enough to see the Pumpkins live, but after seeing Zwan it made me even more disappointed I'd never seen them.

This really is a great CD. It's rather odd hearing Billy Corgan singing such positive, happy songs, but if you liked the Smashing Pumpkins at all I'd check this one out.

I love the sense of deja vu here...

Screw Zwan cause they stole Paz from A Perfect Circle.

I think that was my original response.

This a bit OT, but Pumpkins related.

All Pumpkins fans know of the last show they played was in Chicago, right. Well, I'm a truck driver. And the night of that show, I was in Gary Indiana, laid up in a truck stop, and with no drive time. For those of you who don't know, Gary, In. is minutes from Chicago. I had no tickets, not way to get into the city, and it was snowing. God, I was so pissed. Fortunatly, Q101 out of Chi town was running the whole thing live, with an interview with Billy. That was also when "Untitled" was played for the first time as a fare well song. Very sad night.. But at least I was that close.

Zwan's an excellent band, but IMO their cd isn't as excellent as it should be. I want more songs on there like Honestly, Endless Summer, Baby Let's Rock and of course the highlight track, Mary Star of the Sea.

Hopefully Mary Star of the Sea is Zwan's "Gish". That is, pretty awesome, but nothing compared to what's next.

To the guy that resents Zwan for nicking Paz; fair call. IMO she played a larger part in APC, and her violin skills weren't wasted. Here's hoping Zwan use her for more than sex appeal in the next album. And I swear to god, if the new APC album doesn't sound like APC I'll be fucking pissed off.

it's definitely not the same as the Pumpkins, especially in terms of mood. i like the CD, but it's slightly disappointing at the same time, because the pumpkins era is definitely over.
