meaning of the term "back door man"

In the songs "Back Door Man" by The Doors and some other song i cant recall from Led Zeppelin, theres is a reference to (the singer) wanting to "your back door man"

what is the meaning of this? Im thinking it could be a sex only relationship...maybe when the girl already has a man. Am I close? Or is it something as simple as she just loves the anal?

And sneaking out of when the husband comes home early.

I don't think Morrison meant it in a sexual way, as in anal sex.

And yes it was The Doors. "Back Door Man" appears on their debut album "The Doors"

Actually, the song "Back Door Man" was written by an old blues man from Chicago named Willie Dixon. He has a great version recorded, but it was also done by many blues greats with the most famous being Howlin' Wolf. It does indeed refer to a lover of married women who sneaks in and out the back door to take care of wives whose husbands aren't doing the job, so to speak.

In Seattle, there is a blues radio program on Saturday/Sunday nights. Its so fun to hear original verisons of stuff people think Jimmy Page or Morrison wrote. In all reality, Zepp was an electric blues band. The blues form, blues scales, and excellent remakes of old blues tunes are all there.

Doesn't the phrase "I'll be your back door man" appear in "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" by AC/DC? And it means: one who secretly carries out illegal deeds on your behalf.

IE: he sneaks in and out the back door with out being noticed.

Right-o. Hence, the line "[you] men don't know, but [you] little girls understand" (Parentheses added for personal lyrical variation )
