How about MMMMBop by Hanson. That song was SOOO annoyingly happy!

I think that song Walking on Sunshine by somebody and the somebodies(?). Catchy melody.

Walking on Sunshine was by Katrina & The Waves....


But for something artsier - 'Beautiful Love' by Julian Cope from about 10 years ago.

Maybe "Life Is A Highway" by Tom Cochrane?

"Just Can't Get Enough" by Depeche Mode was up there!

It's impossible to be sad and listen to "Hey Ya!" by Outkast at the same time.

Hey Ya! *is* a great song.

The irony being is that the lyrics to "Hey Ya" are kinda sad, talking about a relationship ending. :(

The Polyphonic Spree's "Reach for the Sun" song that is also used in the Volkswagon commercial.

Gawwdamn that song just radiates glee!

I love that song. But another one that always puts me in a good mood is "Are You Gonna be my Girl?" by Jet. It's just one of those songs that when you listen to it you just can't sit still. Something like your leg or head is bouncing to the beat...if you know what I mean.

"Island in the Sun" by Weezer

not the entire song but the little jaunty intro to "Mucus Shifters" by The Apex Theory gives me fond thoughts of little men bouncing around on pogo sticks and grinning very widely... so I'd say that would have to be it.

Uh, Girl is beautiful- Andrew WK, song always makes me pretty happy.

"The Good Life" by Cracker is pretty happy.

How about some Ren & Stimpy "Happy Happy Joy Joy"?

Run Like an Antelope, Phish.

Although the lyrics themselves aren't that happy, the music and mood to Sparkle by Phish always puts a smile on my face. Also, the afforementioned Hey Ya! is always fun to listen to.

But I think obviously the #1 happy song would be Little Less Conversation by Elvis, can't sit stilld uring that one

Goove is in the Heart by Dee-Lite takes top honors.

Today by Smashing Pumpkins comes a close second.

I can think of a number of electronic (funky house/trance) tracks that perk me up and get me movin with a smile on my face....zipper track- needle damage, many from ATB- let's see- one that really sticks out in my mind is Don't Wanna Stop (ATB) It's just beautiful and moving

granted the songs are about heart ache and loosing someone you love but you cant help but be happy when listneing to reel big fish

"Dreams" by Van Halen is the happiest / most uplifting song for me.
