Zeppelin has not one bad album...

or one song in an album that sucks.

I was just listening to my collection and I noticed that EVERY song in every album rocks.

I know that everyone puts out an album with only a couple of good songs on it and the rest is shit, but have you noticed that Zeppelin really has not one bad song.

I also notice that when I ask my friends to name all of Zeppelins albums everyone always forgets the same album.....do you know which one that is??

sailor 11-29-2003 08:09 PM

I never really liked In Through the Out Door very much.

But other than that, you are absolutely right.

merkerguitars 11-30-2003 03:20 AM

I've noticed the same....I can pop in any album and not get bored with any of the songs...to bad most artists of today can't make albums of the same caliber...

Exactly my point!!

You both still haven't answered the ?? of which Zeppelin album do most people forget exists??

forseti-6 11-30-2003 12:26 PM

In Through the Out Door
Presence

Maybe they aren't *bad* but they certainly are compared to their other albums.

Now the beatles.... they never had a bad album.

rockzilla 11-30-2003 06:09 PM

Yeah, Presence and In Through the Out Door are the only less than amazing Zep albums. If I had to pick one album as being the 'forgotten' Zep album, it'd be Presence.

You're correct most people forget Presence, but I will disagree with any of you saying Presence is less amazing then their others.....IT ROCKS!!

Archilles Last Stand

For Your Life

Nobodys Fault but mine

Tea for one

Now if you remember both Presence and In Through the Out Door we're different styles then all their other albums especially In through the out door.

Just listen to them.

Also I asked Jimmy....yes I asked Jimmy Page. I happened to sell his sister in law a car and her and I became good friends. And when he comes to town to visit....I make sure I visit her:D

Yeah, I liked Presence a good bit. I just didnt like the whole 80's pop approach that they took with ITTOD.

Soze..... You little bastard. :D

JohnnyRock 12-01-2003 01:14 PM

Can't find real fault with any album...I'll take the "worst" Zep album over many bands' best!

Wyodiver33 12-01-2003 04:34 PM

A bit off subject, but I bought the 2-DVD concert film called How The West Was Won the other day. Great. Covers most of their career. Some of the footage is in 5.1 surround. Much better than "The Song Remains The Same." $20 at Best Buy.

sailor 12-01-2003 05:21 PM

I ripped all of my Zeppelin back when I got my iPod... I love loading it all into Winamp and putting it on random play.

Doing right now, actually :D

Wyo, the newest DVD is supposed to be really good. I dont know if thats what your DVD is or not...

Tophat665 12-01-2003 06:46 PM

Betcha he forgets Coda. It's the only one of the original studio albums I don't have.

Its OK. I have it because it was the only Zeppelin album I didnt have, but you arent really missing too much. If you have all the other ones, buy it, but if not, get the others first.

i was gonna say coda, but yeah i bet alot of people forget presence

KeyserSoze 12-01-2003 10:35 PM

Actually they forget them both, but most people remember CODA, it's Presence nobody seems to remember.

teshadoh 12-02-2003 06:59 PM

There is Coda, III, & Prescense.

Kaos 12-02-2003 09:36 PM

I do like Zeppelin, but there are only a bunch of select songs I will listen too.

OFKU0 12-04-2003 01:22 PM

I am a huge Zep fan but the only song I do not like is 'The Crunge'. Except when Plant says"Where's that confounded bridge"

I am also a little more partial to their later stuff from Houses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti and onward much like the later Beatles stuff.

I still get a kick after a few beers and a toot ripping Trampled Underfoot, The Rover and Hot Dog if I'm not to wired to pull it off.

lions20 12-31-2003 12:08 PM

This is why Led Zep is the best band ever. No one comes close to there music writing ability or their entertainment ability. I never got a chance to see them live they were broken up when I was born but I have both DVDs and they rocked the house.

josh_s08 12-31-2003 10:39 PM

I really like all the numbered albums. I am in the process of getting bootlegs of live shows from about '69 to '74-'75. I think that this is the best time in there lifetime.

The album that i would have to say is the most diferent is a bootleg, so some people probably havent heard of it, but the guy at the nice record shop in town says that when he bought the store, people were always asking for "Led Zeppelin - A Tribuit to Johnny Kidd and the Pirates". I dont know a darn thing about said johnny kidd, but the album it a ton of sweet simple blues stuff. Their isent a single Zepp orginal on the thing.

rideough 01-03-2004 04:47 AM

Presence is by far my favorite album...and everyone forgets it!

As far as knowing Jimmy Page, if i ever did i could die on the spot knowing my life was complete!

The_wall 01-03-2004 11:31 AM

Zeppelin rules!!

sherpahigh 01-03-2004 02:18 PM

Zeppelin are truely amazing. I can't think of an album of theirs that I would call bad. Their all so different and amazing. The new DVD is a must for any fan. Also there's a new Guitar World magazine out right now that has a ton of great Zeppelin stuff. Worth a read if you're a fan.

OFKU0 01-07-2004 07:48 PM

This is a good site for those who haven't been.
