I'm a cheap bastard that dislikes large groups of people and finds nothing in live music that he can't get off a CD. But STP roxxors.

Almost all of the shows I go to are small local bands playing in bars. There are several great local jazz and blues bands that I go to see. I really like the atmosphere much better in smaller places like bars, it feels much more personal.

eh, going to shows has been one of my favorite things to do.... especially living in Philly and there being 1) One of the best indie promoters in the country putting on shows for almost 10 years and 2) some of the best small venues for non-arena rock. I grew up (pre-college) in the Pittsburgh area. Anyone here ever hit up Grafitti before it shut down? My all time favorite venue, I think. Saw some amazing shows there. |

I'm continuing this because I was worried I'd be timed out:
Fleetwood Mac Heart Firefall Blue Oyster Cult UFO Cheap Trick Foreigner Blackfoot Robert Palmer Molly Hatchet REO Speedwagon Marshall Tucker Band I'll probably think of more. I was a huge concert going music officianado during the early 80's until present. I think I will start a new thread about bands that I have never seen and want to!
