Interpol fans?
So I've started listening to Turn on the Bright Lights, the debut album from Interpol, and I must say, its one of the best albums I own, and I've only been listening to it for about a week now.
They arent that big, and I've been listening to there stuff for a while now (downloaded "Stella was a diver and she was always down" about 6-10 months ago...so don't tell me I'm a late bloomer), but I finally bought the album. Great stuff. Anyone else here heard of them? Thoughts? If not, download "Untitled" or "Stella was a diver and she was always down" and just listen to the guitar riff change halfway through the song. "The New" is good too ![]()

I love those guys. I've been listening to their stuff since last winter and I think that though they wear their influences on their sleeve (Joy Division for one), they sound original to me in a sea of crap bands out there.
I think they have new stuff coming out this year. Should be interesting to see if they can keep it up.

NYC is one of my favorite songs. You may want to check and see if they are coming to your town. I've seen them once already, and it was fantastic, although I had to drive to Nebraska to do it. They are touring stateside in September.

I picked up Turn on the Bright Lights shortly after it came out upon the recommendation of a friend. I was and still am completely blown away. Totally different than anything out there right now. When I first heard them I thought "Euro Rock." I was surprised to look in the liner notes and see they were from the US. A very un-mainstream sound, they probably won't get too big, so hopefully they will stay true to their music.

Love 'em...
I thought they had been around forever though...lol...Maybe it is because of the Joy Division sound coming through.

Very good band. Saw them in Montreal couple of months ago with The Stiils, good show. A little to much sticking to the album if you ask me and not enough improvisation on stage but still, the album is very good. High hopes for a future record.
