The Distillers

So I am watching MTV2 (the one with the videos....) really late one time last week and they show a video by a group I had never heard of: The Distillers. The video was "Drain The Blood" and I was blown away. I was fantastic. Plus, the lead singer is quite hot. Are there any fans of this group out there? What are their best songs? All help would be apreciated. Thanks

Brody? Yeah, hotness. She was married to Tim Armstrong, I think. Something like that. I like ... um ... well, The Young Crazed Peeling is a pretty good song. Also, I Am A Revenant. And Young Girl and Sick Of It All... Those are all from the same album, so you might want to check out stuff offa other albums.

P.s. Fun Fun Fun in the fluffy chair!

Yes, they are a lovely band. And she's a lovely girl.
She's with Queens of the Stone Age lead singer now... His name escapes me...

Ok, first off, nice to see this post. I've liked them for awhile and it's nice to see some others are into them too. Brody was married to Tim (lead singer from Rancid) for a while, but now she's with Josh Homme of QOTSA ( i jsut read that somewhere).

But, I just bought thier new album and for some reason I CAN'T play it on my PC!!!!! It played in my car stereo, but not in my DVD drive or cd drive! I've tried to find something about this online and couldn't. I don't know if there is some type of rip protection on it or what, but considering I don't have a stereo at hime and the only cd player I have in my apartment is my pc, I'M PISSED! I threw away the receipt already so I can;t take it back! DAMMIT! THIS PISSES ME OFFF!!!

Anyway, sorry. I guess I got a little off track there.

A couple of other songs you might want to check out would be:

City of Angels
Gypsy Rose Lee
LA Girl
Sing Sing Death House

I haven't got a chance to listen to much of the new CD since I CAN"T LISTEN TO IT IN MY PC!!!!!, but anyway.

Most of the new CD's coming out are doctored so that you can't play them on any PC I think because they want to prevent people from uploading the songs and then sharing them with other people.

I just saw the distillers live. They opened up for queens of the stoneage. I was impressed, and I am hard to impress when it comes to music.

MAn, I'd love to see The Distillers. How was QOTSA though? I saw them over the summer and they were a major disappointment. This biggest problem is that whomever they had running their sound must've been deaf, but they just didn't put on a good show.

It was awesome. One of the best shows I have ever been to. They put on a 2 hour set after millionaire an the distillers played. The drummer did an awesome job. They played a few songs. Then Lanegan came out for a while. he left and they continued playing. They know how to rock teh place.

The distillers were good too. I really got into their music. QOTS picked a great opening band.

get this program, http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm it worked for me when i got cds that didnt want to play on the pc cuz they were copy protected. With this you can convert the songs to mp3 even if you cant in other programs.

Distillers are really really good. I really like the Young Crazed Peeling.

Yeah, Distillers are pretty good.... hell of a lot better than what Rancid's doing lately.... ugh

Brody and Josh Homme seems like a weird combination... but to each their own I suppose.

Random thought: Josh Homme has really cool shirts.

"Sing Sing death House" is a superior album to "Coral Fang". Haven't heard the first one, though.
