Nuclear Rabbit

I heard about these guys about four years ago... They're a very strange, but funny and talented band that would appeal to fans of Primus and possibly fans of bands like 311 and Mudvayne. Lots of people say that they sound a lot like Mr. Bungle as well...

Their music is kind of a mix between Primus style basslines, with heavy nu-metal esque guitars, occasional ska/311/sublime sounding guitar riffs that seem strange at first but fit perfectly nonetheless. The vocals are very, very strange. Sometimes he screams, sometimes he sings Incubus style, sometimes he sounds like a heavy metal lounge singer.

Just thought I should get the word out there, because I'm currently addicted to these guys

They suck. Element of Surprise was 50 times better.

I never heard Element of Surprise, but the main reason I like Nuclear Rabbit is the fact that they don't take themselves seriously like 99% of the other bands out there. They sound like they're just out there to have fun and I deeply admire that in a band.

That's really oldschool Nuclear Rabbit. About ten years old now actually. I like their newer stuff a lot more, check out songs like "My Hideous Claw", "Truth's Ugly Head", or "My Girl's Got Guts", they're all great songs.

I listened to a few Element of Surprise songs, and I like Nuclear Rabbit way more. Element of Surprise sounds like they were trying to play more popular, radio friendly music, whereas Nuclear Rabbit has a much more unique sound but is more likely to be rejected by the mainstream.

eeeh. to each his own. True.. EOS was nothing life alteringly different, but I really did like them. I didn't like Nuclear Rabbit at all.
