Watching my new led zepp dvd, and I was wondering what the differance between the two necks on page's two neck guitar is?

something like this:

One is a 12 string, and the other a 6 string.
They produce much different sounds

Top is 12 string used during the intro, etc.

Bottom is traditional 6 string for solos, etc.

Page also used the double neck live on the Song Remains the Same and Rain Song.

Playing the 12 string on TSRTS and the 6 string neck in an alternate tuning on the Rain Song.
