Primus, Animals should not try to act like humans
I got the new Primus Cd/DVD yesterday... and of course it kicks ass. it's the original Primus lineup...Les Claypool, Larry Lalonde and Tim "Herb" Alexander. I've been a Primus fan since the beginning and I gotta say, their new stuff is just as good as the old. Anybody else here a Primus fan...and are you going to see them on tour soon? I am.

I picked it up too. The DVD looks like a nice bonus, I haven't watched it yet though. I'd love to see Primus if they come ven remotely close to here.
I got hooked on Jerry was a Racecar Driver in college when my roomie had the CD. |

This would be "remotely close" if I was in Iowa. You've got to consider, Primus hasn't toured in over 3 years, and who knows when they'll tour again. I'd say go for it, you'll be happy you did...

I am a huge Primus fan, but I think that the Brown album is aptly named, because it's shitty. No offense. Maybe I just didn't get it. I'll definitely be at the Phoenix show, though.
What's the best side project by any of the band? Sausage? Holy Mackerel? Flying frogs? Or my personal favorite, Oysterhead?

Here is a nice Oysterhead story for ya. A few years back, we drove up to the University of Vermont to see Primus. Midway through the show...midway through the song even, Les stops playing and says "Ladies and gentlemen, I want to do things a little bit different tonight, a couple of my good friends are here tonight, and I'd like to have them play for you...(then he turns to the side of the stage and says....introducing my good friend, Mr. Edward Van Halen!." So half of the crowd was cheering and pretty into the prospect of Eddie coming out. The other half did't really seem to care. Then Trey (from Phish) comes out onto the stage. When he did, there was pretty much the same reaction. Then Les says... and finally, on drums, the ghost of John Bonham! Then of course Stewart Copeland comes out and gets on the drums. Trey and Les started playing Dueling Banjo's, which was awesome...then went into Communication Breakdown. People were into it at that point. Anyway, this was the first live Oysterhead get together. Definently an unexpected treat!
