Underground Hip Hop
Anyone else out there listen to underground hip hop? Artists such as Binary Star, Atmosphere, Hieroglyphics, Cannibal Ox, Jedi Mind Tricks, Cunninlynguists, etc. If so, who are you favorite artists and what songs by them? Any suggestions as to some songs or albums to get? If anyone replies I can suggest a few tracks from some of the artists I mentioned.

where do you find those "Underground" Albums?
I know a few artists that aren't exactly mainstream, like J-5, but I wouldn't call them underground either.

You can try http://www.hiphopinfinity.com/ for many different artists and http://www.rhymesayers.com for artists such as Atmosphere and Brother Ali. Also http://www.undergroundhiphop.com has many albums that you can buy from their site.

Muerte, I against I, The Deer Hunter, Heavenly Divine
Heard all of em. I like the group but I don't really feel the whole "strangle the pope, drink his blood, and praise allah!" vibe they have in most of their songs. Not my typa lyrics I think they're stupid and it gets old. I still think they're dope emcees but I hate how the waste the talent on rhymes like that. It cheapens it. Asta!!

As far as new releases from the artists mentioned in the OG thread, not much going on. Make sure you hiphop heads check out hiphopsite.com for new underground releases.
Edit: if you like atmosphere, check out Eligh, Brother Ali (also RhymeSayers), and The Grouch. If you're into the WestCoast Freestyle Fellowship-style tracks, try searching ANY tracks by Slant From Korea from Project Blowed/Cali 9. Edit *again: forgot to tell you TFP'ers, check out Nobody (LP#1: Soulmates LP#2: Pacific Drift)
