I'm new to Ween, but I love their latest album "Quebec". Every song is completely different. They go from a Motorhead-type song to ballads to moody to bubbly...

Wow.

I've always wondered about them. Can anyone recommend a few good songs by them?

They made a country album about 7 years ago called "12 Golden Country Greats" that has only 11 songs on it. It's funny hearing country music to Ween lyrics.

Mr Richard Smoker lyrics
"mister richard smoker
you're an Ono Yoko
cognac and black coffee
with the boys
dancin' in your buster browns
whirlin' to the techno sounds
your hands are wet
your hair is slick
you smoke
big dick"

Off of the "Quebec" album:

- "It's Gonna Be a Long Night" (Motorhead-type song)
- "Transdermal Celebration" (rock with good vocal effects)
- "Captain" (the ULTIMATE make-out song)
- "Chocolate Town" (ballad)
- "If You Could Save Yourself (You'd Save Us All)" (last song, good closer)

In November!!?? I might be at that show too!! I d/l some of their stuff, loved it! I bought Pure Guava yesterday, and have been listening to in religiously. My faves are "Push th' Little Daisies" and "Sarah." "Sarah" is such a relaxing, somber-ish type song. I love it.

Thanks for the recommendations guys!

I've heard a few songs, and like what I've heard. I'll eventually buy a disk or three.
