Iron Maiden - Paschendale

I had never listened to Iron Maiden before... I didn't think I would like them... but decided to check out this song....

This song is awesome! A great, long epic of a song, it's about Paschendale (obviously) and I definately recommend checking it out.

Any Iron Maiden fans here?

Hell yeah! A roommate of mine got me hooked on em. Actually got to see em in Phoenix with Motorhead and Dio. They can definatly put on a killer show. My favorite tunes of theirs is Aces High or The Trooper. And their new album kicks major ass as well. Check it out sometime.

Iron Maiden rules! I need to pick up the new one. Pretty much every Maiden album is required listening. Each interesting in its own way. From Paul Di'Anno to Bruce Dickinson to Blaze Bailey back to Bruce its all good! Definatly worth checking out.

Oh, yes. My MP3 player is currently loaded with Maiden for riding with.

Not, I might add, the crappy Bruceless interregnum, which was mostly awful.

I am, however, not enough of a fanboy to like most of their videos.

Yuppers. I can do Aces High, The Trooper, Run To The Hills, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Die With Your Boots On, and Two Minutes To Midnight.

The Trooper is by far the funnest one to just let loose on.

That's awesome...I've been practising their tunes for awhile...Their all super talented musicans. I'm on my way to being a semi- decent Iron Maiden reproductionist...My fingers get stuck here and there though...just gotta work out the kinks!

I recently saw them at their tour this past summer.

One hell of an awesome show

And the new album is great! I love it, especially Paschendale.

Maiden always makes excellent war-themed songs. The Trooper, Aces High, etc. are all epic tales.

One of my favorite bands! I am a maiden of iron.

If I had enough money I'd own all their albums.. hopefully not too far away from that goal. ; ) I get such a rush of emotion from most of their pieces.

Hmm, are they still touring? I'll have to look into that... never could afford to go to a big concert/tour type event until now.

Looked at the new album at one of the local stores: it's one of those corrupt/crippled CDs that won't play in most car steroes, and is designed to be impossible to rip.

Sorry, Bruce and the boys, but you can get fucked. I was going to buy the album, but if it won't work in some of my CD players, and I can't rip tracks to listen to while I'm riding, I'll be spending my money on someone else's work.

Dance of Death is a great album! As for the copy protection, utter nonsense to me, seeing as I just made mp3's from the album...

none of the less, check out thier older albums such as 'Somewhere in Time', 'Seventh Son of a Seventh Son' and 'Powerslave'.

Now if we're going to argue the best Maiden album I'd have to go with Seventh Son because I'm a sucker for concept albums.

Powerslave's my favourite album, with the fewest "misses"; Number of the Beast and Seventh Son jostle for second, and Somewhere in Time and Fear of the Dark squabble over the next place.
