three great bands, i loved at the drive in, then mars volta, and now sparta :D

I saw them in concert(they opened for Pearl Jam) and that was the first time I had heard them. They were really good though but he was to say the least a little hard to understand when he was singing. Couldn't really discern what he was saying, but people say the same thing about Eddie Vedder so go figure...

Sparta > ATDI > Mars Volta
I saw Sparta play a live gig once, it was so damn good, the singer/guitarist wanted to kill his guitar tech for fucking up his guitar (it constantly feedbacked). |
Sparta has some great songs... and I have seen them live. But I also saw At the Drive-In in their prime and saw Mars Volta last month, and Sparta definitely lacks the powerful energy that Cedric and Omar brought to the band.

Thing that bugs me about Mars Volta is that Cedric tries to hard with the "clean" vocals that he cannot nail at all.
