You create the band...

Alright, a little game here for the music thread. Create a band of any musician, living or dead, 5 people max. Give the band a name. See what crazy concoctions we can get going here.

I'll go first:

Ludwig van Beethoven: Piano
Jimi Hendrix: Guitars/Vocals
Nick Drake: Acoustic
Danny Carey: Drums
Lou Reed: Vocals

I'd call it "Last Years Champions"

Your turn!

tinfoil 09-01-2003 06:11 PM

You forgot the bassist man.

Maynard - Vocals
Chantal Kreviazuk - Vocals / Piano (and she's hot)
Rhodes - Lead Guit
Hetfield - Rhythm (he was damn good back in the day)
Pert - Drums

Man.. I can't decide on bassist. I have so many heros. My first hero is and always will be Cliff Burton. Then there's Duff from GnR. Wooten, Claypool, Hamm. The list goes on.

All of the above pursue their musical trade with such feeling and emotion. I never got to see Rhodes play, but watching the vids nearly brings a tear to my eye. Watching Chantal play / sing, however, DOES bring a tear to my eye.

Edit: I play bass, just in case y'all are wonderin. Which I am sure you're not.

Re: You create the band...

Love the Nick Drake choice!! But I would have to substitute Frederick Chopin for Beethoven.

Hmm be a crazy band. What to call it? I dunno When In Rome.. Seems like a good name for a band if it isn't already taken.

Asta!!

I know. Chopin is better, and not deaf either.

I think I could have put Dr. Dre in for Lou Reed and been alright too.
