2 many DJ's - Soulwax
Okay, I stumbled onto a couple of mixes and when I downloaded them the track names weren't complete. They were a couple of mixes of different songs, and I really liked them. Well, I went to Best Buy today to try to find something by either 2 many Dj's or by Soulwax and they didn't have anything.
Then I just went to the soulwax site and 2manydjs.com and am not exactly clear on what this is. Is Soulwax a radio show overseas? It looks like 2 Many Dj's are jsut two guys doing the mixing, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know anything about this? Does anyone know where I can get hold of some cd's? I checked ebay and found some stuff, but I don't want to pay 40 bucks for a copy of some radio show (not saying that's what I'd get, but I just don't know). I know there are quite a few of you who listen to house and dance, etc. so I was hoping someone could shed some light on this for me. Thanks. |

2 Many Dj's album is called "As Heard On Radio Soulwax vol 2"
Its really good electronica, Seemlessly mixed (studio, not live) Id recommend getting it. The Soulwax/2 Many Dj's mixup goes like this; Two members of the Belgian alternative pop/rock group Stephen & David Dewaele (brothers) are 2 Many Dj's. THey only have one album but its a powerhouse for sure. If you like the sound check out The Chemical Brothers "Live at the Social" If you can find it. Edit: Theyve got a single called Colette thats pretty neat too. Hope that helps.

Youre welcome!
If youre interested I just thought of a couple more. F.S.U.K.3 (future sound of the united kingdom) mixed by Bentley Rhythm Ace. Its a 2 Cd electronica mix, very diverse. Dirt Chamber sessions Vol 1. By Liam Howlett aka The Prodigy. If youve never heard of this one, Where have you been?? If you fileshare, the magic word is BREEZEBLOCK. Uk Radio 1 show. You wont hear shit like the Breezeblock anywhere else.

There are actually 5 volumes of "As Heard On Radio Soulwax" and I think all five have been played on Radio 1 at some point too. The reason that only volume two is available is because it was the only one that cleared 100% wrt copyright issues. The others are available elsewhere, as well as a series that followed those called "Hang The DJ", but I also wouldn't want to pay the extortionate amounts people are charging on eBay.
