Something For Kate's 4th Studio Album was realeased today (18th Aug) here in Australia. Titled 'The Official Fiction' They have recently done quite a bit of touring around the States and even recorded a lot of the album there.

I am a huge fan and have been for quite a while, but was just wondering if any of the Seppo's (American's) out there have heard of them and if so what do you think?

They have an ever evolving Indi style that started out with a gutteral roar and they have now progressed into incorperating strings into some of there songs.
They are a hard woring Aussie band who are just short of making it internationally.

The lyrics are engaging and thought provoking while the music is the perfect compliment to the words.

I know I sound like I'm talking them up a bit too much, but hey... I like them.

Any info on similar sounding bands would be much appreciated.
(Already into some American stuff like the Hot Snakes, Death Cab For Cutie, King's of Leon etc.)
