I have a couple of tales about my local rock club in the Uk. The first was a group from NYC called uncle sam making their first ever appearance in the uk. The lead singer stood on the edge of the stage and started to fall backwards somthing that at the time that was un-seen in the uk. Needless to say he fell back and crashed onto the floor of the club, while his band looked at each other as if to say keep playing all you could hear from his mike was a sound of urghhh.

The other one was when a mate of mine played the same club with his new band who where useless to say the least, my mate at the end of his set threw his drumsticks out to the crowd thinking they had impressed, only to see them come flying straight back at him.

I seen the lead singer of Rage Against the Machine fall off stage at 'The Big Day Out' festival in Sydney, Australia. Always a laugh.

But a funnier moment which I think might have been at the same festival was when David Yow, of the 'Jesus Lizard' was dancing around and singing in the mosh pit as he likes to do when suddenly he started screaming "Stop the music!! Stop the Music!!" When the band stoped he announced over the microphone that he had just lost his wedding ring in the mosh pit. So everybody in the mosh pit dropped to there knees with David and started looking thru the mud. It was eventually located and returned to David at which point the he gave the signal and the music continued at the same frantic pace whit which it left off.

It was a pretty weird sight.

I've seen a lot of shows live but nothing all THAT funny... some weird stuff though. I saw Scott Weiland and his band at the Dysfunctynal Family Picnic in '97 (I think), and just randomly in the middle of the set about 50 naked people just ran out on stage while Scott started screaming "RELEASE THE SHEEP! RELEASE THE SHEEP!" That went on for about 5 minutes before the music resumed.

Several days later, he got arrested for heroin posession. Hm.

I haven't seen anything strange with the bands...just drunk guys yelling for Eddie Van Halen when Vince Neil was playing, and then as soon as VH started their set, he started yelling for Vince... my friend and I still laugh about that one...

I play in a ska band, and we were on tour two years ago, and i was not that drunk, we drank the entire time obviously, i mean its a tour.
anyway, so we're playing at this tiny venue in Londen Ont. I was standing on the huge guitar amp, i play trumpet. At the end of one of the songs i steped back a little bit and steped on a sticker, that was on top of the amp, and BOOM i go straight down INTO the drum set. Trumpet go flying, im all tangled up in drums and drummers, took us ten min. to get it all back up again and was very very embarrasing.

i went to a glassjaw show and they actually let some members from the crowd who had a 'band' cover one of their songs. vocals and all. they about shit their pants. haha. and the crowd was all supportive and into it

at vans warped tour '01 a guy from the vandals climbed on the stage structure like a monkey then had 'sex' with the bar. they were just a generally funny band.

at a free sleater-kinney show, they stopped midsong bcos something was wrong with the pedal. so they asked for a screwdriver from the crowd. lo and behold someone had a screwdriver. :P

at a local show, i was told that the lead singer, my friend jesse, mooned the crowd. dammit i missed it

at concerts:

some girl fell or got pushed or something a few steps uphill of me and busted her nose on the back of my head. almost knocked me down. she was a bloody mess.

and, a group of teenagers in front of me puked in the row of seats in front of them before a concert started. An Arab family showed up with tickets for the puke seats. They debated and pointed. The husband obviously had the ticket for the most puked in seat. The looked at each other, nodded, and the woman sat in puke.

in a parking lot I also saw some guy snort up, through his mouth, probably at least 3 or 4 ounces (a shitload) of some kinda white powder he had all lined out on the hood of his car. I still don't know what the hell it was or what he was doing.

but the bands were always boring.

Limp Bizkit getting booed off the stage by people who knew every word to the songs....

I don't know what was funnier...a 30 minute LB set or Rabid Metallica fans knowing every word to a LB song and then inbetween going FUCK YOU, GET THE FUCK OFF THE STAGE, BOOOOOO .. .....*takes a breath* GOTTA HAVE FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIIITTTTHHHHHHH :\

The video for that song live is pretty fucking funny, got the George Michaels shaking his ass in the background and running up and down the stage, hilarious.
