Toronto Rocks
Was at the concert in Toronto yesterday
What an amazing line up, capped by ACDC and the Rolling Stones and 450,000 people Incredible |
absolutley.
I got there around 1:30pm, so i missed out on the first couple acts, but in my opinion the real show didn't start until AC/DC took the stage. That's what I was there to see. For the most part, people were walking, and wandering around the park, but when AC/DC hit the stage, it was like a half a million people (literally) all focused on one thing. So amazing. Although I'm not the biggest stones fan in the world, I still thoroughly enjoyed their set. It was just a great day, full of surprises. The subway home amazed me. It was so efficient! Myself, and the three friends I went with were sure that we would be there until 3am, before we could even get on the train, but we were on by like 1 o'clock. that's the biggest surprise that I had. There were so many great looking chicks, many of whom didn't have a problem with taking their tops off. I truly had a good time, even if i had to wait for three hours to get a slice of Pizza, and get walked on by at least a hundred people. Still. I keep getting reminded why I love this city so much :) |
Mary, mother of fuck, YES. I got to the third row from the front :D
Awesome. And hey, no deaths. On my way to my friend's house I passed "Altamont Street", and felt kinda nervous all of a sudden, but it turned out to be all good, even if I never did get to eat. Rock and fucking roll. Ahh. |
yeah, getting around was a mission, but it was such a good show.
|
Wish I could have seen AD/DC!
Was that Nsync guy booed or something? That's the what I heard or something. SARSTOCK? Isn't the point to forget about sars and bring people back to the city? |
Not to forget about SARS... The concert was held to show that it isn't a problem anymore. That T.O. is safe... and that half a million people can't be wrong.
Man... The Flaming Lips were awful. |
Yeah man, I seen some footage of Justin Timberlake getting bottles thrown at him. Rock concerts aren't for prissy little pop singers.
But yeah man, Blue Rodeo in front of 450000 people, never thought I'd see the day. Go folk-country Canadien bands!!! |
My friends dad is high up in Molson's entertainment division, and this concert along with the Toronto and Vancouver indy must have given him stomach ulcers from all of the stress. Sounded like it was an awesome event though.
|
I only saw it on CBC (they didn't censor out the topless women, good old CBC) The flaming lips were the ones with the crazy stuffed animals and sars particles dancing around like idiots, right? They did suck. With the exeption of them and JT, it was a good concert.
