Nailed
Every now and then a musician absoloutly NAILS a song, meaning they make a definitive version, which nobody would consider seriously trying to cover. The Counting Crows did this with Mr Jones, Sinead O'Connor did it with that Nothing Compares song. Was wondering what other peoples opinions were on this, what other songs?

Cake's "The Distance" comes to mind immediately. I really can't think of a song so "nailed" as that one.

if history has taught us anything .. it is that any song can and most likely will be covered... heh.
