Just getting into the Stones...
 

I'm almost 28 for Christ's sake and I'm just realizing that the Rolling Stones are awesome. What the hell is my problem?

I don't think you have a problem...anymore(JK). Seriously, if you want a good Stones collection, you should go out & pick up "Forty Licks". It's a 4-disc greatest hits collection that came out last summer, with 4 new tracks too. It'l get you many of the hits...then you can work on getting ahold of the B-sides. Enjoy!!

there are other discs that have some good songs on them.. such as aftermath.. black and blue.. .. and some other old ones.. but the ones i listed are IMO the best of the best.

OUTSTANDING albums... two of the best ever recorded if you ask me.

I've always felt they were a better singles band than album band, so I'd get 'Forty Licks', the latest money grabbing compilation. The remastering sounds awesome.

Then I'd get Let It Bleed and Exile On Main Street. Exile has more great grooves than it does great songs, but there's something to be said for those great grooves.

I am 24 and I just started to like the stones. I think that I got over the whole stigma that if my dad likes it it must suck. They are straight up rock at it's finest.

I've listened to some of their of stuff and they are really good. I haven't gotten a whole album yet b/c I just don't know where to start, you know? Anyways, my favorite song by them so far would have to be Paint it Black.

yeah.. I would classify 'Paint it black' as an old song.
