"KING'S X"............THEY HAVE BEEN CRIMINALLY OVERLOOKED FOR 20+ YEARS BUT ARE ENORMOUSLY RESPECTED BY THEIR FELLOW MUSICIANS. HENCE THE REASON ALTHOUGH MANY PEOPLE HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THEM THEY STILL CLOCKED IN AT # 83 ON VH1'S LIST OF 100 BEST HARD ROCK BANDS OF ALL TIME.
CAN'T RESIST MENTIONING "THE SAMPLES" ALSO, SEAN KELLY IS AMAZING AND DESERVES MORE SUCCESS THAN HE HAS GAINED...

Being a huge post-rock freak, I think people need to listen to more Season and The Evpatoria Report (if you like Explosions in the Sky and Godspeed You! Black Emperor, you NEED to listen to these). They both have entire EPs available for free download on their site so there's no reason not to try.
Being a huge metal-head, I think people need to listen to more Psycroptic and Gorod. These bands play insane technical death metal, but the songs are actually catchy. Last edited by drainpipe; 11-24-2005 at 02:29 PM.. |

Capt Soularcat - Southern funk band out of Atlanta I heard in middle of nowhere GA.
Bionic Jive - I hate hip-hop/ rock fusion bands with a passion. This is the one exception The Roots - The best of hip-hop and jazz with a touch of rock guitar.
