Ohhh ....one more band I forgot about

Lacuna Coil

If you like atmospheric music with a touch of metal and goth, you'll like this band. They've got a hot woman as their singer, and she can put a spell on you when she sings.

Check em out

I don't think they are still together, but if you like Bob Dylan or the Replacements, you must listen to the Gear Daddies.

A very cool Aussie Indi band. Been bashing round in Aus for years and should be the next big Aussie band. (Following Powderfinger!! Blah!!)

Check 'em out, they're a folk rock, college type band out of the Twin Cities. Very good. They've got two albums. You can buy them at Best Buy. Very good, very good.

As stated earlier, The Disco Biscuits incredible!

They have been on the forefront of mixing traditional jamband music with electronic music. They have perfected this over the last few years, and put on a hell of a show. I highly recomend seeing them live. They were recently described as "the matrix of rock bands."

-Snapcase (Incredibly intelligent melodic hardcore)

-Hot Water Music (Lively post-grunge)

excellent musical taste (a.k.a. mine). Glassjaw is incredible, apex is so awesome, seen both of them in concert, same with hot water. Lostprophets would make for a great concert also. Man...too bad Andy is out of Apex....makes me sad.

I'd say Radiohead, though a lot of people already do listen to them, and most that don't are the people I probably don't want to be listening to my music ;-) . Pretty much my sister (she ruins any music she listens to).

At the Drive-In was an excellent group...try out the Mars Volta if you liked em.

Keith Jarret, Jim Hall, Al Hirt...good jazz stuffs.

i think everyone should have a place for rage against the machine in their heart..

His message isn't profound or anything. I'm not even sure if he has one. It's fun music though.

Sloan, definitely Sloan. They're one of the best bands out there and no one listens to them outside of Canada.

And everyone should listen to the Beatles, that's just common sense...

Pick one? Remy Zero. Very underrated. Modern rock, mostly akin to Bends-era Radiohead, with a little U2 mixed in.

PIG are really so much more than that. . . . In any case, you should all start listening to anything that Raymond Watts has been a part of, including some Einsturzende Neubauten, some KMFDM, PIG, Sow, Schwein. . . . . A good place to start is KMFDM Radio. Every other song is something Ray has worked on, and the ones that aren't are still jam-packed with industrial goodness. Check it out.
