Any guitar players out there?

hey guys, I was just wondering if there were any of you who are guitar players, and if so, what does your setup consist of and what would your ideal rig be?

Fender Strat, 1994 "40th Anniversary" edition (American Standard).

I have a Rat distortion pedal and a practice amp that no one has ever seen before. It sounds like shit but it's louder than a motherfucker.

I've been playing for 3 years. I have a 90 watt Marshall Amp, Les paul epiphone, Fender strat, Martin acoustic and a really old vintage Fender Jazz 1971 bass. My only effects is a Digitech RP100 but I blew it out because I was stupid and used a wrong adapter and it overheated

I'm more into classical/flamenco acoustic guitar than electric just because I like the pretty sound better and it's more enjoyable for me to play. I don't really look up other peoples tabs I just create my own stuff and practice scales.

I'm in love with Django, Michael Hedges and Buckethead. If you guys haven't heard them play download some of their stuff and you will be amazed. Hedges was the best guitarist ever hands down, IMO.

I have been playing guitar for a good 6 years now. I play flamenco and some classical even less rock. I think my ideal setup would be a manuel reyes flamenco negra but even if I got on his list today he would probably be dead before he made my guitar. A conde hermanos would be nice too but I would probably get another car before I would spend that kind of money on a guitar.

Ive been playing for about 10 years. My current rig consists of a Jackson Soloist, and my own custom that I built. A Marshall JCM 900. As for effects, I tend to stay away from em. I have a dod compressor and a crybaby wah. One of these days Im gonna spring for a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier.

Playing seriously off/on for around 10 years. I'm in a band right now and I use a Fender twin with a weird wisconsin made strat copy, which is a pain to tune, but it's sparkly gold, so I love it. I put it through a ufo fuzz. For my acoustic I have a guild songbird that's my baby.

Playing for 5 years. I own six guitars- PRS CE 22, Fender Telecaster Thinline '72 remake, Fender Mexican Stratocaster, Rebuilt no-name Strat, Ibanez Artwood 100, and a Yamaha CG-20 Classical Guitar. I have a Fender Deluxe 40 tube amp, and a ton of effects pedals. The great thing is I work at a music store, so when/if I buy new crap, I'll get a fatty discount.

First post-Woot.

My current setup:
Electric:
Strat or Gibson ES-335 into [Boss DS-1, Dunlop Cry Baby] into Fender Hot Rod Deville 212.

That also happens to be my ideal setup

Acoustic
Martin D-28 w/ Seymour Duncan MagMic & Taylor 614CE into Fender Acoustasonic SFX.

My ideal acoustic rig would be whatever acoustic I'm using mic'ed up with some B.L.U.E. Kiwi's into a nice PA.

wow...alot more than I thought....
Anyway, in answer to my own question, heres my setup:

I play a Jackson DKMGT (Black) through a dunlop high gain volume pedal, then through my Boss Tu-2 Pedal tuner (with bypass tuning on) then straight into my Marshall MG half stack. I know that alot of you probably knock the MG series, but I think that anyone can sound good with solid state if they know their shit and can use an EQ properly. That doesn't mean that I wouldn't love to have a Marshall TSL -1000, but after five years of playing, i feel secure in my ability as a guitarist.

oh me i play!

I got a Fender Strat electric and like some cheap Yamaha classical and a Ovation Acoustic and an Ibanez acoustic. I hardly play the electric or the acoustics, i love playing flamenco on my classical. Flamenco is such a cool genre of guitar, i love to play it.

But i am gonna be in a band again except my friend really wants to play guitar so i will probably play bass. bass shouldnt be hard to learn.

Gibson Marauder
Fender 1979 "50th anniversary" Stratotcaster
'65 Fender Twin Reverb (works GREAT despite it's old age)
Behringer V-Amp 2 amplification. This is one kick ass effect box, which gives you virtually any sound you want! It's fairly similar to the POD, but comes at a much lower prize.
I really love the combination of vintage gear combined with the high-tech V-Amp2. Looks sweeeet, sounds great!

I have been working mostly on allegrias lately but i am in love with soleares. Do you have a tap plate on your classical or does it have airholes? The first classical I owned developed a unique look as I learned how to golpe and since then I put golpeadores on all my guitars just in case I get impulsive.

I own a Strat and Takamine, but can no longer consider myself a guitar player as I have been out of college for 7 years and still have the same strings on them that were on there when I graduated. It was butchery back then and now my playing would be just dangerously bad.

I have a tap plate on my guitar. My dad was teching me flamenco until i moved off to college. And i really like it a lot. its just a fun style of guitar. I should really read up on the styles again, my memory is pretty foggy on them and i havent played for a couple months. man this guitar talk got me in the mood to play. i think i am gonna go play for awhile.

I teach both guitar and bass. Bass clef is easier to read, the only thing you really need to know in order to become a solid bass player is chord theory. Chord theory=Chord Arppegiation=Solid walking bass lines. Slap is also a useful tool, but who wants to play funk?

I have a cheap little set up that I'm replacing soon... So I'll just tell you what I'm gonna get, k? (It's because I'm embarassed by my current set up, if you must know.)

An ESP LTD F-200 guitar, in titanium of course; Marshall AVT150H 150W 4-channel head with DFX; Marshall AVT412 200W 4x12 cabinet with celestions, angled and straight together; and either a Boss ME-50 guitar multiple effects board, or a combination of pedals (the Digitech XMM Metal Master Distortion Pedal, Ibanez DE-7 Delay/Echo Pedal, Ibanez CF-7 Chorus/Flanger Pedal, and a Morley Steve Vai Bad Horsie 2 Contour Wah Pedal). All the pedals were picked because I've personally tried these out, and they sound great for what I'm looking for, the amp head and cabs were picked from various recommendations from friends, and the guitar was chosen simply for it's hardware and design combo (though I've never tried it out or heard it myself).

Right now I have an Ernie Ball Music Man John Petrucci 6 string signature, running into my Crate 2x12 amp.

My ideal setup is to have an Ibanez John Petrucci Model, the guitar I already have, and a Musicman 7 stirng Petrucci sig, running into a Mesa Boogie MarkII C+ amp head on top of a 4x12 cabinet. Maybe throw in a Mesa Boogie Triaxis and a Dual Rectifier for good measure.

96 Mexican Fender Strat. A cheap guitar, but I love it.

I feed my guitar into a Crate XL something or other (i forget which model, but it's 2x8inch speakers ~200watts) then I do 2 lines out from the crate. One of the lines goes into a Flextone 2 Plus with 12 inch cabinet, the other goes to a peavey bandit 112. very loud.
