Creative approaches to Metal
Today, I learned of In Legend. In Legend is a metal band, without a guitar player. It its place, an acoustic piano.
I found out about them because their pianist and lead singer is also the drummer for my favorite group for the last 8 months, Van Canto. Oddly, in a group with five vocalists, he is the only member that doesn't sing. Anyone have some other alternative approaches to metal that I should know about?

Man, I hate to judge but you have to admit there's a certain Cheeze factor in those examples. I mean, I find a lot of metal (and especially prog-metal) hard to take seriously because it's so... serious.
Kind of like professional wrestling you know? I guess for me, I'd say that Tool is a standout for creativity in the genre.
