Though the only reason I want to be financially stable is to be able to take a year off and go to as many as possible. |

i went to the Tamworth Country Music Festival a few years ago.
And considering that i dont even listen to country music, it was quite a change for me. She-lish had commitments on the weekend, so i decided to get up early and catch the early train to the country. Arrived about 7 hours later to another world very unlike suburbia and something i wasnt used to. i walked around and enjoyed the street music, the buskers, the performer. It was the final night of the 2007 festival, and everyone was upbeat. Since i left on a last minute day trip, i hadnt exactly planned on staying there, so since i got there so late, i decided to stay the night....just a piece of advice..make sure you book your accomodation early. i was destined to sleep on a park bench until i found a backpackers hostel with a bed under the stars..it did me for 20 aussie dollars! most people take a caravan and stay from start to finish. that night was a mix of dancing, singing and plenty of concerts in the streets. definately worth going for the cultural aspect. i'd go again for sure, but ill book early!

I LOVE me a huge gathering...expensive sometimes but great none the less.
Lets see... Been to Bonnaroo a whole bunch of times Lollapolooza a few times but that was back in the 90's when they still toured Attended Burningman...I think around 2004, 2005ish Mardi Gras...well that's a must New Orleans Jazz fest many, MANY times (Going again this year) County Bluegrass festival in Limestone, ME CMA Country Music Fest...not really a country music fan but the atmosphere in downtown Nashville is INSANE, specially after dark when the tourists start heading off for the night. Riverbend Music Fest in Chattanooga Tennessee Cigar and Brew Fest is pretty cool Murfreesboro Jazzfest is always fun to catch and sometimes play.... ...I know I'm leaving a whole bunch out too... Anyway any excuse for a good time! EDIT: Jeez heck how could I forget one of my all time favs Telluride Bluegrass Festival! Great show in a great town.
