Acoustic guitar songs for girls
Hellooo i was wondering if anyone could help me with song ideas for a song to sing and play on my acoustic guitar. My voice is fairly country-ish but i don't really like Taylor Swift and i can't think of many other country singers beside her and Carrie Underwood. I have played some Carrie underwood before an i want to know some more singers like her. I'm not a beginner on the guitar but i'm not exactly advanced
Any ideas ?? x |

Janis Joplin is also good. Me and Bobby McGee is dead easy.
If you can learn how to transpose, you can shift songs as necessary to get them into your range. Barre chords are your friends for this. I suggest Johnny Cash as well.

A capo can work, but learning to barre properly and transpose on the fly will make you a more versatile guitarist.
Barre chords are one of the hardest things for beginning guitarists to get the hang of, I think, but you have to learn sooner or later. If you're learning to be able to play a song you like, I reckon that's just more motivation to do it.

Yet I know a female guitarist whose hands literally aren't big enough to hold an E-barre. So, don't use it as a crutch unless you have to, I'd say, but... she has to! |

Blackfield has a ton of great, simple tunes.
Probably some Death Cab, too.
