Rage Against the Machine for UK Xmas No.1
Anyone else sick of X Factor dominating the Xmas chart?
This campaign has picked up serious momentum and has the support of some big big names!! RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE FOR CHRISTMAS NO.1 | Facebook It's gonna be a close call... |
Fuck you! I won't do what you tell me.

Mirror Branding at its best
If you like pop, buy the Miley Cyrus cover the little Geordie kid puts out If you believe in music with soul and passion, show your contempt for the X Factor by buying a Rage track Just dont think that Sony own the rights to both! They played it well... But of course, Im glad RATM won (not that I went out and dl'd a track I already own just to help its sales figures, but incredibly I have mates who did) If they played it full and uncensored on Radio 1 on the chart show would have been worth listening to though! |
Who is Geordie and how could he possibly be worse than Rage Against the Machine? Is he the offspring of a U2 member or something?

Someone from the North East of England.
The X Factor track was a COVER of a Miley Cyrus song. Killing in the Name Of is a classic track - but the point is Sony set the whole thing up. |
I'd take "Killing in the Name" over any Christmas song anyhow.
|
For my money "Fairytale of New York" is probably the best Xmas track.
The strangest ever UK Xmas number 1 was the cover version of Mad World from Donnie Darko... good track but not so festive. |

Never heard it.
My pick for next year's "alternative" shot at the Christmas No 1 to oppose X Factor.... "Haunting the Chapel" - Slayer. If that doesnt make it, maybe "Pregnant Pussy" - UKG (just on the basis that off the top of my head its the most offensive song I can think of) |
