Deftones + Metallica vs. Limp Bizkit
 

With Summer Sanitarium Tour Upon Us. there is obviously some fire amongst the bands. The funniest one i heard was that members of Metallica and the Deftones(bless them) were making fun or talking shit (nothing uncalled for i asure you) about Limp Bizkit and it's member. Well no fucking duh. Limp Bizkit sucks ass. they lost they're best member, because he saw that it was sucking and didn't want to go down with the ship. but i find it really funny that Fred Durst brags about being the most hated band (because they're pure pop) and then he goes around and takes offence. But i just want to know...did anyone see or read anything about what Metallica + Deftones actually said about Limp? Just curious.

I don't hate Limp Bizkit. I have all 3 of their albums. You just have to like them for what they are, not what they pretend to be.

I'm off to the show this Sunday in Foxboro, MA...not even showing up until 7 or so at night...all about the Lords of Metal METALLICA!!!!!!!

I'm going to see them in St. Louis and i'm going for the whole show. I don't care what you guys say, i like Limp Bizkit and Metallica. You gotta give Metallica some props for creating heavy metal.

Why the hell did Metallica go on tour with them?

I thought about going, but it would have only have been for Deftones. I don't like Limp Bizkit anymore (get boring fast) and I've never been a fan of Metallica, I don't hate them but just have no feeling towards them.

Um...Metallica didn't create heavy metal. They did a lot to change it into what it is now, but they did not create it.

Deftones are crap they don't even deserve to be on the sanitarium tour.

hear that Metallica is kicking around the idea of touring with P.O.D. during this winter? It's bad enough that the SS shows are $85 before ticketmaster rapes you, but Metallica choosing (being forced?) to tour with Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park is horrendous. If those bands were dropped along with a few bucks on the ticket price, I'd be there to see Metallica, Mudvayne, and the Deftones in a second.

deftones were the WORST out of all the bands at the detroit show....everything sucked, you couldn't hear him, the instruments sucked...it was just horrible....

I will admit that the Deftones really can't play live... but that's no reason to say they suck as a band.

In my oppinion, if a band sucks live they aren't really much of a band. And as far as Limp Bizkit goes, Fred Durst is capable of writing good songs (Hold On, Rearranged, No Sex) when he doesn't try to rap. Limp Bizkit still sucks though.

ya, deftones suck live now because Chino has(had?) some sort of throat disease and go all out anymore, and the reason his throat is messed up is because of his crazy live shows. i have heard them before that and let me tell you, they were amazing. Metallica and the Bizkit can lick ass for all i care. The deftones are beyond them.

I still don't understand the fuss over the Deftones. Their OK, but highly overrated in my opinion.

I agree...Deftones sound like nothign but noise to me, and this is coming from someone who likes almost all music and can understand what's being said in 99% of death metal songs. I'm sorry I bought the new album... I cannot see why critics love them so much.

i still dont understand the fuss over Metallica. They have only one good cd, and that cd is just pretty good. Its And Justice For All. Metallica is the most overrated band of all time, their music sucks and their frontmen are assholes.

well im not sayin metallica is pure shit or anything- for their time i give them credit, buts its a whole new ballgame these days. deftones can hang while bands like limp and metallic should just put down their sticks and enjoy their legacy ( or money )

i think deftones have grown away from mainstream sound while LB and M. have grown towards it- thats commendable enough to warrant some serious respect from real music fans right there...know what i mean?

Limp Bizkit aren't music. They are suburban white trash rage noise.

Metallica used to be music, then they decided to suck when "Load" came out. However, with "St. Anger" they are apparently interested in making "Metal" again. We'll see what happens.

Deftones blow both bands completely out of the fucking water. There is no comparison. Nobody sounds like them. They sound like nobody.

their cdssound better. as far as them not rising any higher... they never did, they've always been kinda in the background.

i've got nothing against Metallica, not a big fan...they're alright IMO. i've never bought a CD, and the only time i listen to them is on the radio.

Limp Bizkit can suck my balls. i've heard maybe two songs that are alright, but the rest is crap. i'd never spend a dollar on them or a concert.

Deftones on the other hand are amazing. i'v seen them in concert twice. the first time was my very first concert. they were playing in this small venue, only fit a few hundred. the stage was in the very center of the venue and it rotated. the whole show was amazing. i left with a ring in my ears that didnt subside for a couple days. it was totally worth it though, and i'll never forget it.

It is great that the deftones support fans in this way. More artists should take lessons and offer fans extras like this.

I heard the info from THEPRP.com one of those rock news websites, thier pretty accurate, i've been following the site for a couple years now. But on another note, the deftones doooo suck live. listen to the bootlegs they have on thier site (all 45 zip files). the instruments are really off and chino does weird stuff with thier voice. doesn't mean they can't record a bitchin album though.

i don't know, but they've been influenced a lot by them... which is odd, you'd think that if anything limp bizkit would pick up more things from metallica then metallica from them. just look at the st. anger video.

and wes boreland did kick ass. his new band isn't that great either, though. ok, but not great.

I'm going to the St. Louis show. I'm not too thrilled with sitting through Limp, but I can't wait to see Metallica again!!

Also, just because your asses cannot change when a band changes (any band hailed as a great band changes, yes, even the master himself, Ozzy.) doesn't mean it sucks ass.

St. Anger has already gone double plat...please...tell me again that it sucks. I'll compare Discography between the two bands.
