Beastie Boys Question

Oops, Beastie Boys in the title. I typed too fast. :D

This is the only place I think this can be posted here, if not, feel free to move this.

In the Beastie Boys Sabotage music video, all the cool cheesy suits they wore, does anyone know where to find outfits like that for cheap? Vintage seems to be costing too much, and costume shops aren't any good.

Music vid in case anyone needs to see it:

If you can't afford Vintage, I'm afraid you're going to have to work for it. Namely by foraging through charity thrift stores, church and Senior's Centre bazaars and so on.

The real challenge is finding stuff that fits. Do you know anybody with sewing skills? If not and you find a great shirt for cheap that's too big, it probably won't cost much to have it taken in a bit.

That's cool, I hadn't thought of thrift stores. Thanks. :)

You can totally get away with buying thrift, and modifying. Their clothes are not much of a stretch from some baggy dress pants and chinos, ties, shirts (short and long), and the odd set of suspenders or holsters.

The hardest part may be getting mirrored aviator sunglasses, and getting the mess of hair and a mustache

That's true. I'm actually asking this for my boyfriend. He doesn't have an account on here, so I posted for him. He's searching for wigs and mustaches, and actually has some mirrored glasses already. I'll point him to this thread though, or just tell him the replies, whichever works. :)

I know this is ten days late but...

Buffalo Exchange... Either the one downtown on 13th and Grant or the one in Boulder, seeing as how you're in Westminster... And while in Boulder, there is a pretty kick ass thrift store on Pearl Street. It's right by Hapa Sushi, Bjs and Old Chicago.
