any Bass players out there?

I play bass and love it... probably one of the greatest intruments out there. I play an Ibanez BTB 400QM. I feel it's the best you can get for about $500. So, any other bass players out there? What bass do you play and how do you like it?

Bass is the best instrument in the world. Who would want to play skinny strings?

Skinny strings hurt my fingers .

Speaking of fingers, do you guys use your fingers or a pick? I've always used my fingers... they are easy, sound better and most of all, you can't forget them .

I started playing bass about a year and a half ago, nothing like it in the world. I've got a Fender J Bass right now, pretty solid with a nice rich sound.

I play with my fingers. Tried playing with a pick when I first picked it up, and it just didn't click with me.

Thank GOD no one has said "I got into bass because of Geddy Lee."

Yup, I play... I have an old Washburn, nothing special. And yes, Rush does indeed suck. Geddy needs to grow a pair.

I've been a bassist for over 30 years. Play a Gibson EB3- had it since 1973. Had a Vox Phanthom for a while... loved it.

I play with a pick or with my fingers, depending on what the song needs.

what's wrong with rush?

I got into bass three years ago... I was playing upright in the orchestra cause I didn't want to play the violin (already could... was oging to be really easy)... so I ended up playing bass guitar for the jazzband
