"Whatever Gets You Through the Night". But not the whole song, just that one line. I had to go online to find it so that I could hear more and drive that one line away.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeello,
You gonna want me
But when you want me
It might be a different story
Heeello
You gonna want me,
But when you want me
It might be a different story

Baby, A song for every season
I got so many reasons
You're gonna wanna make it some day
Some say, boy you're always teasing
I think you best believe in
For why you've gotta drive me crazy
Baaaaaaby!

and this one because it WON'T go away.
and shani might like it and join me in my auditory misery.
of course, the drummer makes it much more enjoyable in this rendition.

now that's cool. It reminded me of a song from Fishbone's EP V.T.T.L.O.T.F.D.G.F., never knew what it meant but just that it was a song about Godzilla. Thank you for making me look up the video that explains it as Voyage To The Land Of The Freeze Dried Godzilla Farts. It's also a song that can has at one time been stuck in my head.

pan6467 02-09-2008 11:53 AM

Just the one. All. Day. Long.

vanblah 02-11-2008 02:57 PM

The theme to Hannah Montana. I hear it non-stop at my house. It used to be anything by Laurie Berkner.

Pure evil.

dammit...this song stuck in the craw as a teen for many more than just a single day. I must find something else to play to rid myself of it.

Seriously, I am not even slightly joking. I've used (and told other people to use) this technique almost without failure for years. Start singing the opening keyboard parts (do, da-do do da DAH...) to yourself, and let the whole song play out, and tada! Whatever was stuck in your head is now gone. If you're not yet familiar enough with it to sing it through, come to this thread and play it, and hum along.

Try this.^^

I shall indulge in another...It's a cathartic purge to actually sing out loud
to them..they seem to be appeased by that. Day dream believer - Monkees

Mike and the Mechanics - Living Years

I have this song rolling in my brain, your Say song just underlined it more. I have been avoiding calling a very sick relative, I need to pick up the phone and call her now. thanks.

Jackebear 03-07-2008 07:59 PM

The theme song from CHiPs.

Cynthetiq 03-11-2008 08:39 PM

as I was listening to my ipod in Florida, I kept hearing, "Hey Mr. DJ" and I couldn't figure out where I was hearing it from. I couldn't find a track that had that.. until I got back and figured out that I had not transfered Cobra Starship's debut album. It's still rolling around in my head, and I've been sampling many different tunes all day.

Hey Mr. DJ

Grasshopper Green 03-12-2008 07:15 PM

I had this god-awful song in my head all day at work.

Cynthetiq 03-12-2008 07:39 PM

why is it that Carpenters songs seem to be easily stuck in the head?

Tully Mars 03-12-2008 07:41 PM

I listened to Stephen Lynch this afternoon and I've had "If I were gay" stuck in my head all night. Not that there's anything wrong with that... but the song gets old after a while.

I'm not sure. I mentioned the song being stuck to one of my coworkers and ten minutes later she complained that now it was stuck in HER head. I had to apologize profusely.

Logan357 03-15-2008 07:12 AM

Here's a song that got stuck in my head thanks to my wife. She was watching "Legally Blonde the musical" and the song "Oh my God, Oh my God you guys." comes on and I catch myself singing it days later. So now when my wife gets mad at me she'll sing that song!! Grounds for a divorice!!! Totally
