cool... I just had a feeling... a feeling deep in side, oh ya.

here's a geographical trivia questions:

The song 'Running Back to Saskatoon' is by the Guess Who. How many places are referenced in this song? Extra merit for naming them.

Yeah me too, I thought the song was called "Running 'round Canada."

But if we're throwing out wild guesses I'll take the 11 spot.

The Guess Who was one of my mom's favorite bands. I had to sing the song to myself, but I come up with:

Moose Jaw
Moosumin
Red Deer Terrace
Medicine Hat
Saskatoon
Hong Kong

So, six. Unless I missed a verse somewhere, or remember the song wrong.

Pretty close Anxst (s/b 8) You got the one that most people miss (Hong Kong) but you missed Broadview, and Red Deer & Terrace are two different places.

But game on to you for an admirable try, as I had to google to get Broadview myself.

I had no ideas Red Deer and Terrace were seperate places. Well, at least I remembered most of the song.

So, we'll go with a globalization question.

White Stripes offshoot The Raconteurs had to rename themselves for the Australian market due to an issue with an Australian band already having the name The Raconteurs there. What do they call themselves there instead?

Let's stick with The Boss. This one should be easy enough.

Hands on buzzers...

Who was the actress that appeared as a "random fan" that Bruce pulled out of the audience in the "Dancing In The Dark" video?

It does. Not the theme, but the song in the episodes that the cylons keep hearing in the background.

Hint, it was written by a folk artist, and popularized by a rocking bluesman.

I have no idea but by the clue I'd guess something by Thorogood.

So, Bad to the Bone?

I'll give it to Tully... I don't think anybody will get this without google. But I did ask around the neighbourhood (last night, informally) and got a 50% hit rate on the answer, I don't think that there's a wide enough audiance in this thread.

ans: All along the Watchtower by Dylan.

I guessed Thorogood, if the answer is Dylan why give it to me?

I'm lost.

Jeopardy Style!
"Surprise, Surprise, Surprise!" An Episode of Gomer Pyle USMC can be heard in the background to this song..

I know for certain it's off of The Wall album, but what song....

I think it's the one that starts "Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn?" was that song "Nobody Home"?

"The Wall" has both the songs "Vera" and "Nobody's Home" and I think you're right the line's in "Nobody's Home." It's either that or "Bring the Boy's Back Home."

Edit:

Just saw that Richard Wright, a founder member of Pink Floyd, died today at the age of 65. Guess he had cancer for sometime. Feel for his friends, family and fans.

Hrmmmm... I don't really have anything good....

Ok, a quickie - name all of the top 5 selling albums of all time (as of today, Sept 15, 2008). They don't need to be in order.

No googling

(Edit: after my own quick google, I realized I should clarify this as figures differ. top 5 selling albums of all time, according to the RIAA)
