Are the songs on the Audioslave album more fast paced than "Like a stone" that is getting played a lot currently?
I like the song but it feels like there isn't energy put into it. You'd think that the musicians from RATM and Chris Cornell could just set my radio on fire with incredible music. I got Chris Cornell's solo album "Euphoria Morning" hoping for something like that. It was ok but just felt like it was missing an ingrediant. |

"Like a Stone" is atypical of most of the rest of the Audioslave cd. It's mostly reminiscent of "Cochise," the first single. sk

bazooka, I think "Like a Stone" is the mellowist song on the CD, the rest of the disc is very upbeat if you ask me. Try it out!

I loved RATM, Zach de la Rocha was great, but Chris Cornell!? Come on people! Cornell's voice goes great with the guys from Rage. Last time two great bands (or just Cornell in this case) joined like this (funny, I think Soundgarden had something to do with this one too....) we got Temple of the Dog... wow...

Amen to that perripken!
I like RATM, Soundgarden, and Audioslave, but I like audioslave the least of the three. If it were up to me, I'd have the rest of soundgarden come back and take chris, and have Zach come back to Rage. But it's nice to see some real new rock out there. |

I used to really really hate Audioslave, because i used to compare them to Rage Against the Machine which is one of my favorite bands, but there is no way Chris Cornell could live up to that. Then i started to realize that they are not trying to be like the old RATM was, that they are a new different band, and i started getting into their music and now i like it. Tom Morello is an mazing guitarist.
What i think would be great would be for Audioslave and Zach de la Rocha to go on tour together. Zach could do his solo stuff then audioslave could come out and get it goin, then Zach and RATM could team back up and cause massive havic. It would be so sweet, but i doubt it will happen.

They aren't really my favorite style of music but I love 'em nonetheless. The combination of Morello's guitar noises and Cornell's Robert Plantish voice are great. "Show Me How To Live" I think is my favorite song off of the album.
