^ I'm kinda thinking I wanna start fresh with Muse and get their first album first but Absolution is pretty much a flawless album. At least I didn't hear anything I didn't like. These days I like to buy CD's both my mother and I can enjoy together and Eisley - Room Noises is definitely one of them. When I listened to it at Borders I immediately thought "My mom would like this a lot." and then I forced her to listen to it lol. She did...she like me didn't hear one song she didn't like. It's because the girls sing so pretty and they write great really pretty songs. Good piano work too and we're both suckers for piano.

Once you hear them all you'll see what I mean. Though if you're looking to download tracks off of "Showbiz" I recommend starting with "Muscle Museum." |
^ Where would I be without you?

Hey K-Wise
I love Eisley, seeing as I own the album and both their EP's now... but anyway, I thought I would toot my own horn and drag up an old, old, thread on them. http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthread.php?t=55231 Just so I can say, I heard it first. :D ========= On order from amazon: Olive - Trickle (dub/electronic/trip-hop) Hot Club of Cowtown - Swingin' Stampede: The Hot Club Of Cowtown Playing Hot Jazz & Western Swing (hot jazz and western swing, give the album "Tall Tales" a shot) Heather Nova - Oyster (singer/songwriter) The Faint - Danse Macabre (throwback 80's) The White Stripes - De Stijl Keren Ann - Nolita (French chansion/pop) |
Kasabian caught my attention with "Club Foot" but the rest of the album is kinda lame. They were pretty good in concert this past Tuesday, however; definitely worth checking out.

Have you heard Midlake? I visited Eisley's Myspace.com page and they listed them as one of the bands they listen to. They're from Texas too and I got to catch them when they opened for Do Make Say Think in Austin on the 8th of October last year. I thought they were a really great band I loved their music. My bro n law and his friends who I went with didn't really care for them too much though because they're the kind of people who'll hear someone like Midlake and think "Yup heard that before ever heard of Granddaddy?" n shit like that. I don't care about that shit though I thought they were great..if ya don't already know em you should check em out. Asta!! |

I haven't bought a CD in ages since I haven't been able to afford one - until now! YAY! I decided to buy Zero 7's Simple Things as I've been dying to get my hands on that album for ages!
http://home.swipnet.se/~w-26153/musi.../zero7_big.jpg |
Simple Things is a great great great CD... I listened to it over and over and still go back to it. Oddly the last CD I bought was Zero 7: When It Falls
Its not quite as good as Simple Things (I could listen to Destiny for hours on repeat), but its not bad. I hear that they are working on a new album. |
Add this to my birthday list:
An Evening With John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess holy crap is that a great set. |
