People still "purchase" CDs?
I think the last CD I actually bought was a used copy of the New Wave volume of the Vice City soundtrack. |
The Faint - Danse Macabre
|
Massive Attack - 1000th Window (brilliant but depressing somehow... Mezzanine was better)
|
talib kweli - quality
|
shame to say but i buy original cd's VERY RARELY :( The're too expensive comparing to not original ones ;] (like 6 times more expensive).
Anyway, last CD (orignal) i bought was Groove Armada - Love Box |
White Stripes - Elephant
|
Modest Mouse, The Moon and Antartica. Not super new I know but I don't buy CDs that often.

Wow, I haven't bought a CD in such a long time. I think the last one I bought was Elvis Presley - Memories: The '68 Comeback Special. It's a great album, even if you aren't a big Elvis fan.
|
The Ravonettes
It's only an ep, but this shit rocks !!! They're a little Jesus and Mary Chain with some Link Wray thrown in. I managed to catch them when they came thru town earlier this month. They kicked ass and took names. Tix were only $10.00 A refreshing change of pace, considering the last show I went to cost me $60.00. |
Nightwish - Century Child
Nightwish - Angels Fall First Nightwish - Wishmaster Sepultura - Under A Pale Grey Sky Lords of Acid - Voodoo-U |
Last CD I bought was the new Godsmack album, Faceless. I mostly make compilation CDs and listen to them while I'm driving. Cheaper and it's all my favorite songs on one or two discs.

Hope no one minds me reviving this ancient thread. Figured there was no point in creating a new one.
The CDs I have purchased so far this year: The Clash - London Calling Super Furry Animals - Phantom Power Pernice Brothers - The World Won't End Nick Drake - Pink Moon The Fiery Furnaces - Blueberry Boat Against Me! - Reinventing Axl Rose Fiona Apple - Tidal All either used or purchased with gift cards. Tidal cost me a total of $3.49 (plus s&h) from half.com. And it's good. |
crazy, this is an old thread! i don't remember posting in it! lol
well, my latest CD's are Kelis' Tasty, Modest Mouse's Good News..., and Franz Ferdinad. Both Modest Mouse and Franz Ferdinad's CD's are ten bucks at amazon.com. Quite a deal i think. |
"Cockadoodledon't" by the Legendary Shack Shackers
It has the Geico CB Song. |
I try not to buy anything from RIAA members - at least, not firsthand. The latest CD I got was, I believe, Final Fantasy 02202002 - GREAT orchestral performances of some spectacular FF songs.
If Sony ever releases Fiona Apple's latest album, I'll buy that, 1) because I like her and 2) to show Sony that good albums that aren't rap or hip-hop DO get bought. |
Rush - Vapor Trails
Miles Davis - Bitches Brew (fucking expensive couple of CDs, but well worth it) on my future purchase list: Immortal - Damned in Black Devin Townsend - Accelrated Evolution Miles Davis - Kind of Blue Painkiller - Guts of a Virgin/Buried Secrets (grindcore with John Zorn on saxophone!!!) |
Kaki King - Legs to Make Us Longer
Muse - Absolution absolutely love them both |
just bought Aphex Twin - Drukqs
|
I haven't purchased a music CD in... hell, I cannot remember. Years, for sure. I guess you can say I am boycotting music industry. Or maybe I just don't care any more.
I listen to older music that I've had a long time with some NPR thrown in during the morning drive. |
