yep....Dave and his best man are SW nuts and they had joked all along they wanted to walk down to that on pipes...I pushed it aside cause I didnt figure it was possible, and if it WAS possible, it had to sound awful right? lol

The night before the wedding at the rehearsal they were joking around with the piper that thats what they had wanted and he told them his son knew how to play it on the pipes and he would go home and learn it for the next day....and he did...it was a tad fast, but didnt sound anywhere near as bad as I thought it would lol

I told my family if they have a funeral, I'm going to haunt them forever.
I attend a lot of funerals for my job and it sucks. The most popular song for a kid is "His Eyes Is On the Sparrow." I can't even hear it now without tearing up.

I want Jerry Garcia's spin on "So What". And a long, loud party with lots of Self, G. Love and Special Sauce, Gorillaz... and "Enter, Sandman" at least once to remind them I'm coming back if they don't watch it.

From my youth, after attending my first funeral at four (great-grandmother) I decreed I wanted good music. They played Southern Baptist organ favourites.
I have always been attached to The End by the Doors, even if it is a bit trite. Otherwise, much abounding techno beats and Metal to keep the smiles upon the faces of all.
I used to sing a particular arrangment of Amazing Grace in church that was quite lovely. If I could find it again, I'd have that tossed in to be nicely traditional.

My funeral is already spelled out, and secured away in the safe. It's sort of a combination of traditional police and military pomp and circumstance. Two pipers, one playing Amazing Grace as I'm unloaded from the hearse by military honor guard and carried gravesite, with the second joining in for a single refrain as I'm being set down. Following the "duet", the honor guard executes the appropriate facing movements, and marches away to the refrain of the single piper.

I marched down the aisle to the Emporer's Hymn, or the German national anthem, if you will. It was kind of tounge in cheek retribution for Mrs. O'Rights calling me a "damn stubborn German".
Not "Star Wars", I know, but unconventional nonetheless.
