Guitar help

I have an Ibanez Talman TC 420 and well, its been though a show or two and its reaching the end of its life. I love the thrash-like but old school sound this guitar puts out and wanted to buy a newer model. Doing this was harder than I thought.

Does anyone out there know if ibanez still makes this model, or if there is a guitar out there that puts out a simular sound.

thnx.

The USA Ibanez sight doesn't have any information really which means to me that they are discontinued. However there is one on Ebay right now that's got 3 days left on it.

I'll ask around and see if I can get some info on similar axes

What do you mean when you say "reaching the end of its life"?

Have you taken it to see a tech? I've never know an electric guitar that couldn't be restored to playability, even after a lot of abuse. Not a solid-body, anyway.

I mean "She an't take mouch more Capt'n." Its been through 1 to many punk shows, and been abused pretty badly..I've even thrown it at someone a couple shows ago.

As for the tech thing...no

i havnt taken it to a tech yet.

Well, you should do that. Your opinion that she's on her last legs may not be borne out by a professional examination.

Now, look, if you're just sick of her and want a new axe, I can get it. But if you really like the way this one plays, take it in and have it looked at.

he's right. It'll probably save you a hell of a lot of money in the long run. Solidbody guitars are not fragile instruments, just about everything on them is replacable or repairable and for probably not very much. You're guitar isn't exactly a high end instrument, easy to replace indeed but still you have been using it for a while.

Of course you never need to justify a new guitar.
