Like any used car purchase, I would do some online searching to find out what that car is worth.
I guess the price of almost everything has gone up except for gasoline ![]() |

I've been searching around, but I've not been too serious about it since I'm not in the states for another four months. Prices wary a lot for these cars, and it's hard to compare without having a look at them. Most of the ones I find online are mint condition showcars from $20k upwards. I just want a car that I can trust for longer road trips. What I really want is a descent muscle car from this era, but I realize I can't afford one in working condition. I've also been looking at Chevelle, Roadrunner, Barracuda and Challenger; basically the smaller 2-door cars.

When you are doing your online searching be sure to check out the sites of enthusiasts. I hang out at www.chevelles.com . It is great and there is a lot of general mucsle car info.
Here is a link to a page about how to buy an older car. You may know all this info but it is a good refresher. http://www.chevelles.com/shop/buying.html The classified ads on these sites hold a lot of cars. It can give you a better idea of what is out there.
