NSX & S2000 Tampa Meet (lots of pics)

Hey, went to Tampa today to a brunch & cruise with quite a few NSX & S2000's. I didn't get an exact count, but there were probably 12 or 15 NSX's and maybe 20 S2000's with a couple 350Z's, a Supra, and etc along for the ride.

Events like this may be old news to some of you, but it was new for me and we had a great time! We had a nice dinner and then a fairly lengthy cruise in the country after with a couple stops for socializing and pictures. We loved it!

Anyway, leading the parade (so far as I was concerned), the NSX's!

The green one in front is my car.

Your humble narrator.

And now, the S2000's. Judging by the number of boost gauges I saw, I think many of them were not stock.

And the others.

Grats on having such a beautiful car.

Indeed, that Supra was bad-assed through and through. I didn't even see who was driving it but some folks on an Orlando board I cross-posted this to think it belongs to Hulk Hogan's son (Hulk lives in Tampa). Could be, don't know.

I noticed the paxton super charger in one of the pictures of a mid-engine car...assuming this is an NSX...

I thought they were NA standard.

Could you give a brief history of the NSX, what common modifications are made to them, what these mods do to torque and HP....and what you've done personally to yours?

I'm pretty sure they are 300hp stock...but surely they can made to perform much better then that?

Actually it looks like 290@7100rpm stock with a weak 224@5500 torque...is that right?

Nice meet, with a nice bunch of vehicles btw...

Thanks,

-bear

About anything you could ever want to know about NSX can be found here.

http://www.nsxprime.com/FAQ/faq.htm

Personally, For that price a supercharger would cost (about $10K) I'm happy with what I got. I didn't buy it to race Subaru's at the dragstrip and I got the rest of any kind of normal driving well covered.

Does the Supra have different sets of rims on the front and back tires? Or does the angle cause this affect?

Love the Supra, and the Nizzan Z's. All are very nice cars.

I'm gonna assume that that RSX is a TypeS and they come stock 220HP, And by the looks of that RSX..There is probably some engine modification done..So the HO Gettr plate probably fits.

That Supra is indeed the Hulk Hogan son's. I've been watching the Hogan Knows Best show on VH1, and that car was on the show a few times.

I know, RSX's are so pretty and that spoiler is so trashy. It doesn't match with the car in ANY way possible. Why do people think that a spoiler with sharp edges matches a car with rounded corners?

This is the spoiler that should be on the car. It's perfect for it, noticable but not ricockulous.
