Question about buying a car online
As some of you may know, I've been shopping for used cars. I've found a few, but the thought has come up. If I were to buy a car in South Carolina (I live in Vermont), I'd be more than willing to fly down, pick it up, and drive home. But what would be required in order to do that, in terms of license plates, registration, etc.?

a call to the motor vehicle, department in the state you are buying it might help, or the seller might help with the info as well.just some thoughts, good luck.

Do you really want to do that without thoroughly checking it out first?

Alot of states of provisions for driving a car home after you just bought it. Typically your permitted to drive it home from where you purchased it without registration or insurance. Driving that long you may wanna check out what the DMV can offer as far as papers so cops don't pull you over every so often on the trip home.
