What kinda truck is this?
I downloaded this 3d model for use in a simple animation where I need the weight and size of this truck. The filename was fordtank, but with all the fords out there I couldn't google up the right one. Can anyone identify it?

The logo looks like Freightliner.
possibly this model http://www.freightlinertrucks.com/tr...ssic-xl-truck/ |

Given these two choices, I will go with the Freightliner....

Thanks. Did some searching on both, and I found a 1987 Freightliner FLC-120 that looked just like this. Btw, amazing how these went from good looking to plain ugly in the 90s.

I think those look cool. It's the new ones that are ugly (esp Kenworths).
I find that there's a strange lack of semi truck fansites out there. |
That's what I'm saying; the new ones look like shit with their rounded corners and "modern" appearance. One thing that amazes me is how well truckers in the US take care of their machines. They're all shiny and nice, whereas here in Europe they usually have layers of dirt, and they have the dull engine-in-the-cabin design.

That's interesting, I got the opposite impression from this site:
http://www.chrishodgetrucks.co.uk/ (Truckfests & Shows link) There's some.. questionable taste, but all the trucks look very well cared for. I suppose that's what you get at a truck show, but given how many there are it seems there's a lot of enthusiasts. And they have truck trials and circut racing in europe, how cool is that? |
