Those are some really great pictures. I take it you went on a weekday?
I can't wait for the new york auto show. Went last year and had a blast. Well except that i went on the weekend and too many people kept blocking the car for a nice shot.

Very nice pictures...thanks. Couldn't make it this year.

I agree with you on that Volvo....I like it a lot. Oh yeah...some nice Mustangs there too. And if I had the cash...the Ford GT would be in my garage.

Thanks. Yes, we went during the week, and it was still pretty crowded. Lots of waiting to get a clear shot. Gotta be quick with the trigger finger.

We saw most of the show, but the camera battery died about 1/2 way through. Bad planning, and no spare battery...missed a lot of cars I wanted to shoot. The event was at Cobo Hall, which is a large convention center in downtown Detroit. Here is a pdf map of the floorplan. On 2 levels.

The Volvo surprised me, had never seen it before. Crazy rear lights, eh?

It's a shame most of these will never see production. I like concept cars, but it's always really pissed me off knowing a shittier version of the same car will one day hit the streets thanks to accountants and focus groups.

Very awesome indeed, I so wished I lived near the motor city. I like alot of them, some aren't up to my tastes, but hell that has to be one hell of an event.

No, sorry I don't have a powerpoint file. Thats a good idea though.

Wingless, looking forward to the pics if you'll be going to the auto show there.

Yes, the concept cars are usually just showcase exhibits to show the 'spirit' of a car company, and what they are capable of - and excited about - doing. Maybe one will sneak through to production one of these days...

Thanks again people.

What is the image to the right of the 'floor' display? Kind of bizarre looking.

Hmm...I see 2 chicks and a display case in the floor.
Is it something inside the case?

I absolutely love the Volvo truck concept. There's so many new concept cars out there that actually look both producable and sellable. We shall have a very, very nice automotive future.

That Volvo was cool...not too radical, looks like something that could actually be built.
