So the Pontiac has a retractable hardtop? I think that will become more and more the norm for convertibles. The advantages over a soft top are many.

Oh, man! That G6 has "fem-car" written all over it. Tail lights look like they're stolen from a Toyota.

The Mustang look sorta decent, but not nearly as good as the hard top model.

I said it in the Impala/Monte Carlo thread.....when did GM contract w/ Toyota to design cars for them? that is seriously what their new body styles look like.

The Mustangs awesome as usual, but the G6 looks funny for some reason. Maybe cuz the front end is so big, and the body looks smashed or something.

I really like the looks of the Mustang convert. The Grand prix just doesnt look right at all, i think they should have made a convert, but used the current body style for it.

Taillights on the G6 coupe definitely look like they were stolen right off the Toyota Solara.

The drop-top 'Stang really loses a lot of that 60's look. I would like to have seen a targa option.

The Mustang GT looks really nice as a convertible.

But the GTP, in my opinion, looks not so hot.

On one hand it's nice to see Pontiac isn't junking up their cars with plastic cladding and superfluous hood scoops, but I think they swung a bit too far in the opposite direction.

That would be awesome, Porsche would probably get mad though.
(You mean full retractible glass roof, right? Not T-top? Either would look great.)

Ditto....
Excellent convertible job on the Mustang. Looks as good or better than the coupe imo.

Anyone with testicles should stay away from the G6. It's not for us.

Seriously... GM has to stop contracting Toyota! The GTP looks 90% like the Solara!

FWD? Get with the times GM. It's the new Hot Rod era!

Is it just me, or is Ford the only company coming up with more original designs. (By more original, not making their cars look like everyone else's).

GM has to learn to engineer excitment into the chassis instead of trying to design it into the body. How can a company that makes such a perfect car in the Corvette get so much wrong in the rest of their line. The Cobalt is no exception either. They do have those gigantic incentive programs to help them move product but it can't be helping the bottom line.

My roommate has the new GT and my favorite part of the car is the cabin. I just like how the car slopes in the back. I would never get the convertable.

They've been working together since the 80s with the NUMMI plant in Northern CA. They have collaborated on many vehicles from the Corolla/Nova to the Matrix/Vibe.

This particular car looks like it is based from the Solara or even the Lexus SC convertible.

the rear end on that mustang seems odd, almost like its out of place. When i thinkg mustangs, i think the only ones i liked.. The older ones, with hard lines and an aggressive shape.
