28 inch rims!

Ok, TIS(twentyinchesstrong) has just came out with 28" rims. It was cool when they came out with 22s or 24s, but this is just getting rediculous. Obviously they only fit on an H2. Im guessing with the amount of rolling mass, youll need a little bit of a big brake upgrade.

Thats alot of metal into one rim, I'll guess i'll be seeing those soon when I drive into the twin cities.

Scorps 11-27-2004 03:48 PM

Wow shaq has to get new rims....LOL

he had the first 26's

I wish 28's would fit on my van.....what a waste of gas!

klo 11-27-2004 05:14 PM

Woah, that's crazy. A bit big I think, what a waste of metal and whatever tires are made of.

Tracybrian 11-27-2004 05:20 PM

One word comes to mind "baller"
haha

Scorps 11-27-2004 05:37 PM

Just wait for the 30 inchers.....wont be long now:D

orangeaidcow 11-27-2004 07:38 PM

yea well i'll be bling when i get like 38s

brandon11983 11-27-2004 08:46 PM

God help us all. That's just too much.

present_future 11-27-2004 11:07 PM

There's enough metal in those rims to feed a small family of metal-eating robots.

splck 11-28-2004 12:18 AM

I think they look ridiculous. I'll be glad when this fad is over.

I agree. I can't even stand 18's most of the time.

Franz 11-28-2004 02:16 AM

Looks like something from a cartoon :-)

Thanks for posting.

Rubber. Tyres are made of rubber. Thanks for posting.

Jimellow 11-28-2004 10:47 AM

Looks like it's time for rappers to update their lyrics.. :)

Nimisys 11-28-2004 11:16 AM

I'll bite... What's a "dub"?

1slOwCD8 11-28-2004 11:46 AM

Dubs are another word for "20s."

Gotcha, thanks! :)

Nimisys 11-28-2004 04:31 PM

last i had heard/saw DUB was a brand name... ie a producer of their own line of rims. which is why i thought it was odd for it to be on another manfactors show vehicle.

HunterDevourer 11-28-2004 07:14 PM

That's pretty ridiculous, and even more pointless.

MiSo 11-28-2004 09:49 PM

dubs is another word for 20's, like stated above.

for instance, you might hear someone say "dubs duece"
which would mean 22's.

THGL 11-29-2004 05:48 AM

they're starting to look like wagon wheels.

MSD 11-29-2004 06:34 AM

This is just stupid now. It's all a big penis-measuring contest.

animal909 11-29-2004 09:02 AM

that has to weigh close to 40lbs per rim, making the total weight like80lbs per corner. Thats just rediculous. That must slow that truck down immensly.

You mean it was actually fast?... I'd hate to go over a bump of any kind in that thing...

Hummers can get slower???

RallyEX 11-29-2004 03:37 PM

It's getting to the point now to where I'd like to get a nice old farm tractor... farmall, john deere, whatever... paint it up real nice and have the wheels chromed... then drive in to town with the thing... Who's got the biggest rims now, y0!

I can not wait until this ridiculous phase of car modification has ended. I think the entire population of the world with any common sense will breathe a collective sigh of relief.

omega2K4 11-29-2004 04:39 PM

DUB is a magazine. And those rims are so stupid looking.

omid 11-29-2004 04:41 PM

H2's look perfectly fine with 24's. :\

the stock rims and tires on a h2 are around 40-50lbs each as is.

however the h1's alloys come in at about 125lbs per assembly.

twilightfoix 11-30-2004 09:14 AM

guess nobody's seen Soul Plane. "You how hard it is to find 82" rims?"

TopRamen66 11-30-2004 10:46 PM

Damn. I usually hate big wheels, but for some reason those look GOOD!

Really, a tuner company? Ive seen it before, and most of the time they had 20s on, so i just figuered they wanted to say, "hey, ive got dubs."

Moonduck 12-01-2004 05:03 PM

Tires haven't been made of rubber for quite some time. Well, not natural rubber at any rate. It's closer to an elastomeric plastic than real rubber.

Ramega 12-01-2004 08:24 PM

It could be worse, it could be this:
