122k for a mangled hatchback? I'll pass.

I can find a used Ferrari for less than that.

Asuka{eve} 10-08-2004 11:25 PM

lots of ferraris for 30k.

Jimellow 10-09-2004 04:29 AM

Wouldn't that indentation along the bottom limit legroom?

It looks alright, but $122k is way too much for that, IMO.

I don't know much about Renaults lately, but from my experience they weren't even good cars back in the day. Maybe things have changed since then, but $122K for that? I don't think so.

I like the front end, but not sure what happened to the rear.

Defnitely a head turner. I can't believe they put a website sticker on the back, how tacky.

Those pictures are from a car show mate, it's not like the website sticker is going to be included with the car when released to show rooms. Secondly, stickers and advertisements are pretty common place in racing cars (this car is a track tuned road car, so practically a race car)... do you per chance think formula one cars are tacky?

Im sure this car would out perform most ferrari's too, Renault Sport really are kicking some ass in the track world these days. Maybe you're all too old to appreciate it? Only joking. Everyone to their own I guess.

Pretty radical design, back end looks....bizarre. Like a monorail train. I like the insanely deep side scoops, though, they look cool. Front end looks like a jigsaw puzzle. $122k for a small hatchback...no thanks. :p

Not much more to say than that.

ancientk 10-09-2004 01:56 PM

I love it and the Renault Clio V6, but I would never buy one

merkerguitars 10-09-2004 02:13 PM

Nah just doesn't look right...I could find something with more horsepower and torque for less money...

MrFlux 10-09-2004 03:56 PM

It's pretty light... the front looks cool, the ass looks like... well... ass.

Appreciated, but as you said this is not a race car. Race cars are the only ones that have a good reason to be covered up in stickers.

Though in their defense, I noticed the sticker and that's what they wanted.

that car should be in the WTF thread.....that body kit is messed up badly!

pl3x 10-11-2004 09:07 AM

What an absolute stunner! Agressive, furiously modern. Different. Why is it so few companies can produce anything new and exciting anymore? Renault are going from strength to strength, and I'd love one of these  .

ringla 10-11-2004 08:51 PM

looks like a focus on steroids

Ilow 10-11-2004 08:58 PM

not for that kind of dough. there's got to be better ways to spend $120k.

Finally... Someone with taste!

THGL 10-12-2004 10:47 AM

I like the new Clio V6. Similar to the old R-5 turbo.

I'm curious if Renault will ever try to make it back to the States again...

Rdr4evr 10-12-2004 12:30 PM

Holy hell....I dont think Ive ever seen anything that ugly in my life.
