At least you have a car built like a tank, if I were to hit a deer in my truck.. man.. that deer would laugh at the damage done on its laugh breath.

Polyphobic 10-05-2004 05:48 AM

That would have given me a heart attack

RaDiAn 10-05-2004 08:43 AM

Got one too, and that's enough, it made a mess of the car I had.......

If you hit 9 is your 10th one free?

I have never hit a deer myself, several coyotes, a few skunks and about a dozen birds of varying sizes and splatter patterns.

I always remind myself, it could have been a lot worse. Case in point:

Either that was a small deer or you weren't going very fast.

I don't even want to think about what would happen to my car if I hit one at 45 mph(which is how fast I usuall go on the country roads around where I live).

man that sucks...

ive heard of these things called "deer horns" you put em on your car and while your driving they emit a really hi pitched whistle that humans cant hear but deer hate... so they dont stay in your way... might be somethin worth looking into...

i'll see if arie can post about em... she was the one who told me about them...
