1994 Mazda B3000 SE Trans. Fluid missing.
I own a 1994 Mazda B3000 SE (Cab Plus) pickup truck. It has a stock 3.0 L V6, automatic transmisssion, 2WD. Recently, I took it in because the transmission was acting up. It was slipping out of gear, and just not shifting smoothly. The mechanic said that it needed adjustment. I went ahead and told him to go for it. He adjusted it and the next day I was out on the road. It shifted like a brand new vehicle. A few days later, it started acting funny again. It began to slip out of gear at stop signs and jerk violently between 1st and 2nd gear. When I got home I checked the transmission fluid and found that it was almost COMPLETELY EMPTY! I added some and it ran good for the next few days. Then it acted up again. I checked the fluid and it was exactly as before... at the tip of the dipstick. The strange thing is that when the truck is parked, there is absolutely no fluid under the vehicle. Is it possible that the fluid is leaking while I'm driving it? What can I do to fix it? I've been putting transmission fluid every week or so, because I don't want to have to boot another big bill on a fix that's not a fix. Any suggestions?

Have you checked the engine oil? If the engine oil is up a few quarts, chances are that a modulator valve went on the trans, causing the motor to suck fluid from the trans. If I remember correctly, that truck is the same as a ford ranger, so check therangerstation .com forums and see if they can help.
