Is this a good amp
I want to upgrade my stock car stereo on a 2000 Suzuki Grand Vitara. I might replace the receiver, but the receiver isn't really a priority upgrade for me (I think). I'm thinking that I can get the most bang for my buck if I just install a new amp with some subwoofers. I'm still not sure what subwoofer(s) I want to buy yet, but it definitely isn't going to be something too extravagant. I'm just looking to make my music sound better, I don't need to let people on the next block know what I'm listening to. I'll be happy just as long as it sounds nice in the car (and maybe the car next to me ). Anyway I was looking at this amp on ebay and I was wondering if anybody had an opinion on it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...922540516&rd=1
I figure that this amp probably has enough watts to power what ever subwoofers I might want to throw at it. What do you guys think, is this amp good or not? Also, if I just want to add a subwoofer, would a bazooka be a better option considering that it has a built in amp. |

Sorry - never heard of that brand. Pretty typical of the crap usually pawned on E-bay. Why not visit a local car audio shop that offers professional sales/installation and well known brands?
For a simple upgrade I always recommend a 5 channel amp. If you simply ad an amp and woofers you will sell yourself short. Amplify the full range speakers as well and get what your really after

Wow, that auction made really good use of some wacky gif's and stuff. Move right on past that piece of shit. I agree with Nelson, go to a shop that actually knows what they are talking about. They can help get you exactly what you need.

never heard of it either... when it comes to car audio, don't go with brands you've never heard of (and some you have)
plus he is puffing it up a lot, probably trying to cover for something... *cough*badquality*cough*

I dont think I would buy an amp whose name is scrambled "Stupid". What the hell do you need 1600 watts for anyway? Not like that ampp would put out anywhere near that. If your only looking to put in a sub or two and thats all you need the amp for look for something like USAcoustics or Profile amps. Fairly inexpensive and good bang for the buck.
